Spring is in the air......

Spring is approaching, the weather is slowly changing around the United States. People are cautiously coming out of hibernation to greet the long awaited warmth of Spring.
What better way to enjoy the warmth of the sun than a large glass of cold lemonade topped off with a dose of Limoncello.

Limoncello is a delicious liqueur consisting of vodka infused with lemons and a touch of sweetener. Add a shot or two to ice cold lemonade and you have the perfect drink to celebrate the change of seasons.

My MIL is a limoncello nut. She even has special glasses for it!

Isn't it funny that people literally come out of hibernation. I talked with my neighbor last week for the first time in about 5 months! Sad, but soooo glad the sun is coming back!

My mom (before it was culinary cool) used to make simple syrup with lemon and we had the best homemade lemonade!

It is spring in my book. I heard birds chirping at 5:30am, saw the first wasp of the season, and the calalillies are poking through the mulch. Woohooo!

Limoncello is a great way to harken the spring. But in LA it seems to have skipped spring and jumped straight into summer! It was 82 yesterday. GREG
