So.....when my daughter's teacher sent out an s.o.s email requesting bake-goods and pastries for a fundraiser can you guess what happened?! Yep, I emailed her back and said "yes, I can provide 10 boxes of beautifully packaged and labeled pastries for your sale." She responded with "thank you so very much, we need them Thursday morning." Yikes, only 3 days to make 10 boxes various pastries! I finished them up last night, baked, attractively wrapped with vintage flowers and ribbon and sent them off this morning.
Inside one of the boxes was a favorite recipe of mine, courtesy of Mr. Alton Brown. It is all that a chocolate chip cookie should be; moist, chewy, and just as good three days from now as the day they were baked.

Love ya Rebecca
Beautifully packaged even! You are impressive. I just gave my number to the person in charge of hospitality cookies at church and am beginning to have second thoughts! :)
If that does not have people knocking your door down for PC service I am not sure will! Cookies, I want cookies...
They are so beautifully packaged!
Sarah,
Thank you, as always, for visiting. Yes, I tried to enjoy myself at Red Robin, but it's like you said, I think it was that I could have done a better job myself. Although I would never make those cheese biscuits so I guess it's the only place my boys can eat them. :)
Wow, 10 boxes of various pastries, very impressive! The cookies look so scrumptious!
Gosh, I'm impressed! Where did you get those adorable boxes?
Kathleen-
The take out boxes I got at Michael's. The flowers are vintage silk florals, but i'm sure you can find something comparable at any craft store.
You are such a good mom! GREG
Oh that is so nice of you. These cookies look so yummy. I haven't tried this recipe yet, but thanks for the link!
You are SUCH a good mommy! If I had been doing it (and I would never have promised 10 boxes anyway) they would have been lucky to get them in a paper bag!
No wonder everyone is hitting you up for goodies....you wrap them up like Christmas!
Going to check out Alton's recipe...
Dayum! You rock, Mom. Great picture too, I bet yours were the best looking packages for sale.
Wonder Woman! I would've caved and headed for the nearest bakery . . . Now, I can't let my husband see this pic or the recipe, or else he'll give me way less than 3 days to make batches and batches!
You made it! It's great - and I am sure you duaghter was very proud of her mother.
I hope everyone appreciated your lovely efforts!
Even before you wrote this post, I always knew you were the sweet and accommodating type, but you went over the top with the beautiful wrapping! Gorgeous! The teachers must have loved you!

Wow! You must of baked up a storm. Your so good for doing this. They look beautiful!
Thank you all for the sweet comments, but I only do all these things for them! I adore my husband and children and want them to have great memories of their mom and wife!
I can spot a good cookie recipe and this one sounds great because the ratio of brown sugar and the extra yolk makes them extra moist.
I bet my kids would love these!
I too have yes-itis...I have trouble saying no too....
Hello, I am vivacious vegan and I saw you on Blessedmamas blog, thought I would pop over here and see your goodies!!! Everything is lovely and I loved the flowers on the boxes. I used to cater, and I loved it, so seeing a fellow foodie makes me really happy.
I am following you now!!! Can't wait to see what you make next!
