Grandma's snickerdoodles

I was cooking for the blog this weekend when my husband ask me if we had any sweets in the house? No sweetie, why don't you make something with the kids!

These cookies are my husbands specialty and man are they addictive! I think that I ate 20 between last night and today. You laugh, but make some and see if you can eat just one!

Snickerdoodles

1 cup butter

2 eggs

2 3/4 c. flour

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

Sugar mixture

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix until incorporated. Combine dry ingredients in small bowl. Add to butter mixture and mix until combined.

Chill mixture for 30 minutes.

Remove from fridge, roll into small balls about 1 tsp. of dough. Prepare cinnamon and sugar, roll each ball into and coat entire ball with sugar mixture.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees

That is exactly why I DON"T make them!! :) I used to make snickerdoodles (3 to 4 batches) every weekend to take to work on Mondays. They were so popular people were stockpiling them, and they would be gone 15 minutes after I brought them in. I had to stop! LOL!!!

Don't you love when the husbands ask for treats? I have a feeling mine will be asking soon, and snickerdoodles are one of his favorites!

I am with Bliss, no cookies in the house or I could eat them all and that is why I have problems :) My hubby will ask me too so we keep white chocolate bars for him and dark for me!

I will have to look the actor up his name escapes me, but he is well know...mine looks like Donny Osmond, and I have been told Melissa Gilbert!
