Just because..... I want to!

Do you ever wonder what your fellow bloggers do when they are not cooking, eating, and photographing food? I do!
Here's a glimpse into what we do in our down time, I would love to hear about you love to do in your free time!!

A saturday photo shoot at Shell Beach, La Jolla

Shell Beach La Jolla, the climb down was a bit treacherous but the view was worth it!

Saturday afternoon at the Little Italy Famers Market

The seals pupping at the childrens beach, La Jolla
We were one of the few to actually walk down the very steep stairs to photograph them, the kids loved it!

My handsome hubby in January barefoot, it still amazes me how gorgeous the weather is here.

I grew up in San Diego until I was 5 years old. This was such a nice stroll down memory lane. I spend a lot of time these days trying to get around town to run errands, Manhattan makes it hard for people who want to cook for themselves because so many people prefer (and probably need to because of their schedule) to eat out. Hopefully one of these days I'll get to meet you in San Diego!

I just found your blog from Fresh Local and Best. Your pictures are gorgeous. I wish I had down time. I lived in California for a summer and went to that beach in la Jolla where all the seals are. Wish I could be there now instead of enduring cold New England weather! When I'm not blogging, cooking, or taking pictures of food, I'm usually working -- I'm an editor and a baker -- hanging out with my boyfriend and our dog, going to the gym, or sleeping. Your life is so much more exciting!

Now, that is a beautiful way to spend a day with the family.
In our downtime, we enjoy walking the trails with our dog. However, most time away from the kitchen and the camera are spent working, shuffling our youngest son back and forth to soccer and yelling about homework. :-)

Ah, looks beautiful! I could do with allowing myself more downtime - when I do have some, it's all about visiting family and getting out in the fresh air.

So much fun! Gorgeous pictures! Right about now when it's so super cold here on the East coast, I do miss living in San Diego!

I am more active when I visit my son, with cleaning and cooking, and we go bowling...

Summer in Jersey is a better time for out door activities, but the snow here can be fun...

I think you guys are having more fun than I do! Lovely photos!

My kids are grown and gone so I have time to myself. I work out each morning, do a lot of committee and volunteer work, I'm a member of a few educational type clubs...it keeps me busy!
