We officially signed the contract! The house is being put on the market, the relocation company is being sent over and the moving company is being scheduled.
Two months ago my husband was asked by his current company to consider running a part of the company in San Diego. We agreed to interview and discuss the opportunity with them thinking they would not be able to meet our financial demands. Monday we received an official offer that met and exceeded our demands, much to our surprise!
The opportunity is not only incredible for my husband but also for me. Where we currently reside there is very little culinary opportunity other than chain restaurants, California affords me unlimited photography and culinary opportunities!
San Diego here we come!

I knew I knew! (SD!!!). I get there once a month or so. My bestest best bestest friend lives there. She and I went to High School together (maybe before you were born). She is a fantastic foodie and soon to be your new best friend (though she will have to reserve bestest friend for me)! She lives in PB but knows how to drive. Next time I am in SD we are all going Disco Dancing! GREG
If anything serious comes of this between you two, do I get a mention during the toast? LOL I did introduce you to each other :)
Congrats, hubby got a job offer not far from there, but then they have a hiring freeze for now...I have never been there, but many love it!
I lived in San Diego throughout college and for several years after. I absolutely love that city! I try to get back as much as I can...
Good luck with the move!
Woo-hoo! Congrats!!
We're very glad for you! Can't wait to see what the new opportunity brings for you.
Congratulations, that is awesome!
Congratulations! You will LOVE it here!
Nate told me last night! Congratulations! We'll be praying for you during this transition. For all of you! Are L & S excited?
Congratulations =)
Although most of the people don't like changing their residence, I think that is a good opportunity to discover new places and meet new people. In my case, I have changed once of country and three times of house...and I'm only 18! xD
I envy you =) I have read that california is one of the better places to bo vegetarian/vegan. There are lots of places to eat and buy.
Good luck!
Congratulations! San Diego is such a marvelous city. My husband and I would take a side vacation there whenever we visited my family in LA. We would stay in a great little B&B near Balboa Park and hang out at the zoo (and wildlife park in Escondido) all day. I envy you the fantastic food opportunities you'll have! Can't wait to see the posts . . . ! 8-D
Hushh ... nobody should know you had considered asking for less!!!
Glad you're looking forward relocating to San Diego!
