I also was the pastry chef for the day. The bride loves all things pink and feminine, so the cupcakes were ultra girly.
Fondant flower cupcakes
triple fudge cake mix
butter cream frosting ( I will not be sharing mine, only one other person knows it!)
fondant ( either make it or buy pre-made)
Make cupcakes according to directions. Prepare butter cream frosting, lightly frost the middle of the cupcake.
Roll fondant to approximately 1/4 inch on floured surface. Cut out flowers with a cutter slightly bigger than the top of the cupcake.
Gently place fondant flower on top of the iced cupcake and smooth petals down.
To pipe the dots- use a round tip and pastry bag and pipe dots around the petal edges. Place fresh or paper flowers on top with a dot of icing underneath flower to "glue" it down.
