A few weeks ago I went to a beautiful local cemetery to snap some photos. I love going there when life is chaotic and busy. It's quiet, peaceful and best of all no one is asking me to do anything. It is my quiet place. Yes, I know that seems weird but the place is amazing gorgeous, both architecturally and aesthetically!
Every spring the swans have babies. Every year I go and photograph them. They are so beautiful, but boy can the daddy swan be viscous! I don't think I have ever met a swan or goose that wasn't. It makes photographing them very interesting!
So, my question to you is...What's your quiet place? The place you go to escape the world and not have to think about anything but the moment?

I actually really like cemetaries too! We have a pretty old one a few blocks from our house, and it's a great place to walk and think quietly.
I like cemeteries too, as I feel so surrounded by history and memory, but here they are not really as easy to get to.
Otherwise the canal as I posted on my FSO on TMI...I can ride my bike, fish, or walk from one end to the next town in a short distance...
I love this swan photo, nice...
My quiet place is behind my camera at 7am on saturdays, alone. It's not always the same place. But I get up and sneak away while the family is asleep. I may go to the city. I may go to an old cemetary. I may go to a lake. Where ever it is, THAT is my quiet place for THAT day.
Some of cemeteries in Indonesia are quite interesting but most of the time, when you go to the cemeteries, there are a lot workers (hired in the cemetery) that will go together and company you to clean the cemetery you are visiting. So, cemeteries in Indonesia are not the place where you can find a quite time for yourself.
My quiet place? My city - Jakarta, where I live has more than 20 millions population. So, I guess... it's my bedroom will be the perfect place to look a quiet time for escape :)
Lovely pic of the swan.
My deck ... my study room ... the Loire ... Voila.
My quiet place is wherever I'm walking the dog. While he's sniffing away, I just let my mind wander . . .
